When i go out for a walk or just to play with my cat, a dog neighbour hood would come and start barking at my cat. Sometimes that dog would run behind my cat and my kitty has to find a place to hide. I also don’t know whose dog it is. but how do i stop him from troubling my cat

Since you can’t really change the behavior of the dog without finding the owners, it’s up to you to make a change in your behavior by keeping your kitten inside and away from the dog outside. It’s really your only option unless you can find a way to control this unruly dog.

The problem is, you cannot really stop a strange dog from troubling your kitty, as it could be stray and untrained.
If the dog has a collar, try finding the owner and tell them that their pet is troubling your cat, or if there are no evidence of an owner, take it to a shelter where it could be looked after.
As for your cat, when playing outside, watch it carefully and make sure it stays near you. If you still have problems, try playing outside with your cat.
I hope to have helped!

well, if your cat likes the outdoors so much, i recamed getting a fenced back yard or front fenced yard. this way , your cat can play outside unharmed. if you cant, listen to kat and puritspaige

you just can’t stop the dog like that from troubling your cat. It can be a stray or somebody else’s dog. if there is collar around his neck then you can find the owner if not then keep your cat inside.
Or if your cat wants to go outside, then she could play in the backyard of your house.

if you want to take your cat for a walk but not in your house try taking it to the park where there are lots of people so they may help you get rid of the dog also try taking a diffrent route everday so that the dog can not find you. hope this helps!
