Neutering before your cat reaches sexual maturity (anywhere from 4 to 6 months) will reduce the possibility that your cat will spray.

I would recommend neutering asap. It’s a very simple procedure in male cats and he will be back to his old self within 24 hours of the procedure.

Generaly before six months old, They don’t usually start spraying. If you wait longer they may start.

A male cat doesn’t start to spray until 6-or 7 months if u get him fixed u will not have to worry about him spraying inside the house.I agree with szaro if u wait any longer your house will be in bad shape because once they start to spray thats a hard odor to get out of your house. So make that appointment fast.

i had a male cat that sprayed at about four months……he started spraying 2 weeks before he was neutered and after he was neutered the spraying stops…u’ll definitly want to take him in before he learns that bad habit…once he learns it will be hard to break him of it

You should definitely neuter before he is sexually mature. That will keep him from spraying, most likely. It will also make for a happier cat, a happier owner…and reduce overpopulation.

However, if the male goes a while spraying before he is neutered, there is a chance that he will continue to spray.

I force the spray out of my cat, I just 1, 2, 3, squeeze it.
I put it in a jar and spread it on bread with jam.
Its very good

I hope this answers your question.
