My neighbor’s cat is outdoors a lot. He often urinates near my porch and I don’t like the smell. Is there anything I can do to keep the cat away? I don’t want to hurt him, I just don’t want him urinating in my yard!

You could get one of those ultrasonic contraptions that makes a high pitch sound or you could go with a cheap solution of cayenne pepper on the ground, once they step on it they will lick their paws and should teach them to not go back to that location.
Good luck with that, i dont like the smell either.

In some stores you can buy a spray that is suposed to keep dogs and cats away. i’ve never tried it, but it may work!

VINIGER! Cats hate the smell of viniger, and it kill the urine odor. The reason why this kitty keep revisiting this spot is because he marked his spot, and can still smell his own pee. Sprinkle a good amount of viniger on this spot, and he should be perswaded to stay home, or go elsewhere for a squat. Meow for now!

It depends a lot on the cat.
Just try different ways to keep him away.
Like, my grandma said that cats HATE lavender.
but my cat loves the stuff.
but my cat hates cat nip.
so just see what works and what dosn’t.
Hope this helps!

just go to your neighbors and tell them what their cat is doing and threaten to call the pound

fill up a watergun. and squirt him when he pees. if that doesnt work then talk to your neighbors and threaten to call the pound. if he still doesnt stop get a waterhose. he wont ever do it again after that! :]

I use Lion Pellets around the garden perimeter and an ultrasonic cat deterrent aimed at the cats favourite spot, in your case your porch. If they are getting in via a nearby fence then fence spikes will also act as a deterrent. Check out http://www.cat-deterrent.co.uk for plenty of ideas regarding what types of cat deterrents are available.
