That is part of the important socialization skills that kittens learn from each other (especially in the first 8 to 12 weeks). It sounds like she is under that age and is treating you as a littermate/playmate. Don\\\’t allow the biting or scratching. If it is on your lap or bed or chair and bites or scratches, say \\\”Ouch\\\”, then say \\\’No\\\”, then put it on the floor.

To add to that - once you put her on the floor, IGNORE her for a bit. Eventually she will learn that, if she wants attention from you, she will have to keep her teeth & claws to herself.

Good answers people, you might also want to consider a scratching post, too.

Oh absolutely - that should be a given! Every cat should have multiple places they are allowed to scratch. Posts, cardboard slabs, whatever - so long as they have somewhere they can exercise that ingrained need to scratch.

An older cat may be able to train it. But don\\\’t let it continue with bad habits.
