Some cats are just shy, just like some humans are shy, and sometimes there isn’t much you can do about it.

Sometimes kittens weren’t socialized during the critical period of 3 to 8 weeks and that causes shyness. Sometimes they were torn from their mothers and siblings too soon (6 weeks) and they never learned to play with other cats.

If you want to try to get her to come out of her shell, you can try reinforcing her with treats when she does play with other humans. Get her to pay with someone else and then treat her for it. Get her to come out from under the couch, and then treat her for it.

cats have many personalities, just like humans. some are shy and quiet and others socialize more and like to interact with people and sometimes other cats more. but if the cat is very shy, then it could use a little help like getting a lot of attention, little by little, from you or other people. talk to her and play w/ her too. it could take a while for her to break out of her shell and be more socialized but it will help her and u too. :)
