It means like, the cat doesn’t like you or if you have touched dogs if the cat(s) smell it on you they will most likely scratch you.Sometimes cats are a little wild so they will scratch you.And if you hurt a cat or make it mad or mees with it’s babiies and it doensn’t know you when you touch the babies the cat(s) probaly WILL scratch you.

Anybody who has cats or works with cats in bound to be scratched from time to time. Sometimes your kitty is just playing. But at other times they scratch when they are scared, angry, nervous, agresive, uncomfortable, or protective.
If you re holding a cat in an uncomfertable postition it may scratch you to get out of your grip.
If it is scared of you it may hiss and try and scratch.
If you are holding cat and something scares her she will try to run away. This usually results in a scratch or two. Just don’t try to hold on to her, or you will be hurt worse.
A mother cat may scratch you if you get to close to her kittens and she doesn’t trust you.
Cat owners are often mystified when they are happily petting thier cat and it suddenly turns and attacks their hand. This might be because you have given your cat a static shock. Or the cat may have simply had enough stroking and this is her way of telling you.

Frequently a cat will forget, or not even realize, that its scratch can be painful to you. And if you let it know it is painful, the cat may think you are exaggerating. My cats seem to have almost no nerves in the skin around the neck or on the tail. The mother cat would use her tail to distract her kittens from bothering her, letting them bite it and scratch it, and only once in a long while would a bite be hard enough for her to move the tail out of the mouth of the kitten.
