My kitten is 5 months old, and she attacks everything that moves, biting and scratching. I know she is just playing, but me and the kids are all scratched up. Is this a stage? Can I train her not to do that? What should I do?

It’s the age, and in time the kitten will outgrow it.

Try using firm NO’s and redirecting the kitten to other things like acceptable toys when the kitten strikes out.

Also try reading the kitten body language, they will usually show signs that they are about to attack and you can redirect the behavior before it even gets started.

Every young kitten does that. My kittens did that and still are doing it but not as much as they did when they first were born. When they were born they came into my house and they scratched us all the time but since my cats have grown, into older kittens they don’t really scratch unless they really have to. It’s a stage in a young kittens age like I said before

You can train cats. It just takes time and practice. For an example my family and i have tought my cat the word no. Now everytime he does something wrong you can stay no and he’ll stop doing whatever he is doing. When you train your cat it should be young. It will learn more as it gets older. You can also get toys like scratching posts and balls to keep it occupied!
