My cat attacks feet, why does she do it and how can I get her to stop?
My new kitten attacks people’s feet. I don’t know why. Whenever you walk by her, she sees your feet and scratches them. We can’t get her declawed yet, she was born on April 24, 2009. What do I do and how do I get it to stop?

First off, do NOT get your kitten declawed. It is a sick, inhumane practice that involves the amputation of part of the cat\\\’s toes. The equivalent would be someone amputating your fingers down to the second knuckle. Declawing can cause a host of behavioral and medical issues, plus eliminates your cat\\\’s #1 defense mechanism should it ever get into a bind. There are tons of alternatives that make declawing completely inexcusable.
It is perfectly natural for kittens to be playful. If you don\\\’t want your kitten attacking your feet, you need to train it not to. If the kitten attacks your feet, make a loud clap & yell, \\\”No!\\\” Generally, after consistent use of this, the kitten will learn that this isn\\\’t appropriate behavior.
Also, if your kittens claws are so long that they\\\’re scratching you, now is the perfect time to start grooming. You can and should clip and file your cat\\\’s nails.

Do not get your cat declawed. If your cat got in some kindof danger/like getting out on its own/it won\\\’t be able to defend itself. Also, never hit your cat/even if it is a pat/just give a firm \\\’NO\\\’ and wave your finger infront of its nose. She might just be playing-which is natural for any cat (she is also young and will learn)-she will grow out of it in time. Try filing your cats claws if they start growing too long. (Pedipaws is an efficent way to do that.)
Hope this helps.

first off dont puish your cat for playing thats all she is doing try getting her a toy she really likes and mabey that will get her attention so she will play with that and not your heels :] if that dosent work try walking away when she is not looking or you could stop walking when ever she is chasing you and mabey that will teach her you dont like it bye
