Yes, It’s normal.
Cats are definitely nocturnal creatures. All small domestic cats descended from desert cats in the Middle East. Because of the heat of the day in that area most cats sleep during the day and are active at night when it’s cooler out.
Our little kitties kept that trait and are still nocturnal. Fortunately, for most owners, their cats will develop their sleeping patterns and learn to sleep at night. But it can be very problematic for new kitten owners as kittens are almost always nocturnal winding up just before their humans’ bedtime. Again, they usually out grown this and learn their humans schedule but it’s still annoying to be pounced on at 2am and awoken out of a dead sleep by a bed leaping kitty!

cats sleep mostly in the day because they are partically nocturnal but not as nocturnal as owls or bats. cats sleep in the cay because it is generally quieter in the house during the day because everyone is at work or school . cats also have better sight when it is dark so they like to run around becasue they sight is better and they don’t have humans around to bother them when they chase around their fake mouse.
hopes this helps!!!

cats dont sleep during the day because it is generally quieter in the house. this is why cats are more active at night. because cats have better eyesight in the dark than other animals do, they rest during the day when all other animals are asleep. at nighttime, all the other animals are asleep and the asleep animals cant see anything, even if they were awake. so the cats use this as their advantage. it is normal for a cat to be more active during the nnight
