And sometimes they will do a mock attack (charge and pounce next to it) if they aren't sure of the other cat's identity. If the other cat doesn't belong there it will back away or run. If the other cat does belong there it will stand its ground. They have great eyesight to identify movement, but not to recognize other cats. They can't always be sure of the other cat's identity until they get close enough to smell it. And sometimes they can smell it from further away. But I had one cat that had not been raised with other kittens, so it didn't know how cats played, and considered even playful attacks as real attacks. All kittens learn how to attack (for defense and for hunting), and adult cats can attack when in a playful mood.

they are probably just play fighting,my cats,ferbie and foxy,are always play fighting with each other.

probably mad with eachother my cats don’t do it at all only attack my dog once in awhile

yea, because when my dog whants to leak a cat it (cat) will scrach it.

many reasons some male cats attake because they whant the same female (expirience) and some because they are scared or mad at each other.

Many many reasons. Territorial and such. Plus, some cats play really rough.

some are territorial and some are just playing but if you have more than one cat it\\\’s probaly jealousy you need to focus on both of them and try to get them to love each other
