My cats usually go next to me or my mom, but this they never do: Try and get my dad’s attention. I think it may be because of they want a male cat in the house. Any suggestions?

Maybe your Dad isn’t as interested in having your cats attention as you and your mom are. They can sense those things.
If you Dad does want your cats to love on him more, he needs to build that bond with them using positive interaction with toys and treats.

It’s probably because you and your Mom are around more to give them attention, so if attention is what they want, they go where they know that they can get it.

your cat shows preference to you and your mom more than your dad. again, if your dad wants to have that special bond with him/her then he needs to give attention, treats, and plenty of rubbing haha.
