Kittens and cats hunt and mice all time. The cat usually doesn’t eat the animal it kills if it is fed at home when it is hungry. They hunt because of instinct.

The mouse won’t hurt your kitten. Cats always eat mice and other rodents in the wild. It’s just instincts. Cats usually don’t actually eat the things they kill, because they’re already fed at home. Even if she does eat it, mice include nutrients that will be good for your kitten.

your cat will be fine, also cats not only hunt for instinct, but as a sign of respect your cat might bring the mouse to you ,, even if you cat doesnt bring a mouse or rodent to you it does not mean that your cat doesnt respect you, it is just something cats are known to do. =)
