I suggest that you read my source link. Please don’t think that a racoon is a cat because of the Maine Coon breed. Maine Coon’s were not bred from a racoon and a cat. The Racoon is actually closely related to a lemur.
And what do you mean when you say your cat is “playing” with raccoons? Are you sure your cat is not attacking the racoon?
And why is your cat an outdoor cat? (Assuming that you don’t have a pet racoon that lives in the house) Please read my second source link.

Sorry for posting my answer twice. I guess what happened was that I confirmed my answer, then I went to edit it. Then I confirmed it again. You can see that I am not lying because answer 3 and answer 4 are slightly different from each other. Read in the parentheses and you will see.

Good answer Johnisgood. It's not a healthy thing for a cat to be "playing" with a raccoon. When raccoons become too "friendly" there is a good possibility of it being infected with rabies. The raccoon is one of four wild animals in the United States (including the fox, skunk, and bat) considered to be primary carriers of the rabies virus. However, the raccoon roundworm (Baylisascaris procyonis) is a serious public health concern. This parasite is transmitted through the ingestion or inhalation of eggs passed in raccoon feces. Children should be prevented from playing in areas where raccoons have defecated. Raccoons are also hosts for the zoonotic (transmittable to humans) disease leptospirosis, but the incidence is so low as to be of concern only to people who routinely come into contact with these animals, such as wildlife rehabilitators or animal control officers.

Raccoons are not related to cats. Also, raccoons will attach and hurt your cat if they can. I would not let your cat play with the raccoons. There could be more problems with diseases .
