Cats are NOT nocturnal, folks. They are crepuscular, like deer. This means their highest activity periods are at twilight (dawn & dusk).

My cats are the same way. so crazy that my parents can’t handle it anymore and throw them out at night. Please don’t minus me just because my cats go out because it’s not my fault. We need a good night sleep i guess….

Cats are definitely nocturnal altho maybe they can be taught as kittens as it seems my mama cat is doing with her litter of 5 that were 5wks. old on 4/5/09. They sleep at least most of the night now and that means I get more sleep also.

Cats are nocturnal animals as all the other posts have said. They like to sleep during the day and get into as much miscief as they possibly can (especially when they are kittens) at night :-)
