3 Answers  |  Asked By: Vanillarouge   20

My 3 month old kitten likes to play a lot. But she doesen’t care about her toys, all she wants to do is bite my fingers, wrists, nose, clothes and toes, is that okay, or does I should ‘teach’ her not to?

It\\\’s absolutely not ok to allow her to do that. What starts out as \\\”cute\\\” turns terribly painful as the kitten gets older & stronger. You need to nip that behavior in the bud right now. When she does that, give a loud, stern, \\\”No!\\\” and then put her on the ground away from you. Ignore her for about 10 minutes or so. Eventually she will get the point - in order to keep playing & having fun, the biting & scratching are a no no.

Make sure you try a variety of toys, too. Some cats are just picky about their toys. It took me a lot of trial and error before I found something my one cat would play with, whereas my other will seriously play with any and everything. In fact, his favorite toy is a stuffed squeaker dog toy that I sprayed with catnip spray! So just try different things out. You\\\’ll find something she\\\’s interested in!
