Is it normal for a 9 month old kitten to continually bite? If your sitting on the couch, she\’ll come up and bite you for no reason. If you move your hand in her general direction, she\’ll attack it. She\’s been fixed already. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make her stop?

It’s the age, and in time the kitten will outgrow it.
Try using firm NO’s and redirecting the kitten to other things like acceptable toys when the kitten strikes out.
Also try reading the kitten body language, they will usually show signs that they are about to attack and you can redirect the behavior before it even gets started.

Maybe she is being pretecktive because she thinks that there’s something trying to get her or attack her. My suggestion would be to see a vet about this mishap.

It’s natural for a kitten to bite a lot of things. But Kat is right–you need to stop her eventually. Some cats aren’t trained to stop and are that way for their whole lives. But if you train her to use chew toys, your fingers and couch will be safe.
