My cat loves music, especially when I play piano. I have figured out that she likes classical music more than other types of music. my cat seems to hate jazz, i guess its because the beat is very complicated.
a great website about cats and music is catchannel.webs.com. once your’re one catchannel.webs.com, click on “articles of the week” then scroll down. there is a great article about cats liking music, and a survey of more than 45,000 cat owners of what kind of music their cat likes most.

Thanks for the responses guys, and the heads up to check out catchannels.
However, for my project I’m looking for people to fill out the survey I posted a link to. It shouldn’t take more than a few minutes and it will make analyzing data much more productive and efficient.

Our cat Earl Gray does enjoy music. He seems to prefer classical, but he doesn’t mind rock if it’s not played too loudly. (He also watches TV.)
