No. Female cats do not bleed, or have a period.
(Dogs do bleed when in heat, which is how this myth started. )
Female cats in heat will discharge a clear liquid during thier active heat cycle. But any other type of discharge (blood, pus) should be immeadiatly checked by a vet as it is not normal.
It is best to spay and neuter all cats before they reach sexual maturity (as early as 3 months to before 6 months) to avoid pregnancy, deadly pyometra, spraying and other behavioral issues, discomfort to the cat and the annoying behaviors that unfixed cats display.
Please Spay and Neuter!

No,female cats do not have a period.Female go into what you call heat. When a male cat senses that a female is in heat,he finds her and mates with her.

well, there is something around your cat , its like a heat only other male cats that have it to can sence. This attracts the male to come and mate with the heat coverd body. this also happens with a lot of other animals. its like a male humpback whales song that tells females that hes single and looking for a mate to breed with. so really, cats have something diffrent than a period. Strange humans dont have the heat or we dont relize it. we have to end up asking someone if there single. Shesh were preety dumb. Its not like people have shirts that say : IM SINGLE!!!!. so anyway catluver girl the answer(or from my mind) is no, cats dont have periods they have the heat instead and they owzz a clear liqued.
If you do see any blood you should contact your vet imedeatly your cat could be havind a bladder problem and it could become really serios.
Hope that helped!

Felines, like most mammals, have what is called an estrous cycle (or “heat” cycle), usually once or twice per year depending on species. Human women and other great apes (and some other primates) have a menstrual cycle. I’ll spare you all the gorey details, but this is completely different from what cats do. For starters, in a menstrual cycle an egg is released whether mating occurs or not, whereas in a heat cycle, the egg is not released until the animal has actually mated. There are a lot of other differences but this isn’t really the place to go into them. You can ask a veterinarian to explain it to you if you’re really interested.
So no, cats do not have a “period” like humans do.
