i gave my 2 cats (nico and lilly) cat nip so they would let me sleep (sometimes they are itching to play) and i left the bag on a table (boy was i in for it) i wake up the next morning to find catnip COVERING the kitchen floor. They hit the bag on to the floor and knocked every last speck out of it!! now my cats are hallucinating so much that they walk into things. they got soooo much that when they walk by it they have 0 reactions (while they are still hallucinating). Can catnip have an “overdose” effect?? I Need To Know!!
Keywords: catnip, overdose??, too much

It sounds like it, but even with an overdose cats have different reactions to catnip. Some almost seem to pass out, while others turn into wild cats. I can\’t find any evidence that there is a point where it is dangerous for their system, and don\’t believe it can be dangerous.

Make sure from now on you store the catnip in an airtight container that the cats cannot knock over or chew through - keep it out of reach, too - either up high or in a cupboard.
