Cat on the counter?

My cat doesnt stop jumping on the counter because it wants to eat the food. My mom is going to throw him out if he doesnt stop. which technique, classic or regular works best to keep him off do you think?

Carl, You may want to try talking to your cat about it and make he/she clear of the consequences. Your cat definitely doesn’t want to get the boot, but he also is not going to learn unless he knows the situation.

One thing you could try is everytime he jumps up on the counter,pick him up ,tell him no,and lock him in the bathrroom for 10-15 minutes. It’s what i call kitty time out. It’s how i train my cats. It usually takes a couple weeks but it works for my cats. I do this anytime they do something wrong so they know when they are going in the bathroom ,they are in trouble.

I would get some sticky tape for the edge of the counter. Cats don’t like sticky. Good Luck!

you can count on your mom kicking it out, same happened to me xcept kept jumping on the tv and blockin the screen
