You can buy some bitter apple at the pet store. Another option is wiping cider vinegar on the blinds. Make sure she has plenty of toys to chew on but chances are unless you put a deterent on the blinds, she\\\’ll continue to do it. There\\\’s also a spray called Scratch No More to keep cats from digging on furniture.

Also, if your blinds have strings on them (to pull them up and down) be sure to keep them out of Kitty\\\’s reach. They can easily get tangled up and hurt in them.

Very good point! We have mini blinds and they were looped together at the bottom. I cut them and shortened each set so there is no risk of the cats getting hung.

I have a feeling they are in her way, and she wants a clearer view out your window. Cats will move (by destroying, if necessary) things out of their way. Some of my cats will chew on blackberry brambles that start to grow too close to the paths the cats normally take. Until you get a product to stop the chewing, I suggest you open the blinds.

Bitter spray has already been mentioned, and chili oil is another option if they are a dark enough color not to stain. Otherwise, close the door to your bedroom and keep her out.

That said, if they are vinyl miniblinds, I would be extremely worried. Vinyl miniblinds often contain a high amount of lead, especially if they were manufactured in China (like 99% of them are). Aluminum ones are fairly safe but if you have vinyl blinds, your cat may be on the way to poisoning itself.

the bitter sprays in the pet supply store usually work pretty well in keeping cats from chewing things they shouldn\\\’t.

She might be going through a stage in her kitten life. Just wait until she grows out of it.
