I have 3 cats. My girlfriend just moved in with me along with her 3 cats. This has been an interesting experience. I thought everything was okay over the weekend, but yesterday someone peed and pooped in the house. This morning, someone peed bigtime in our bed, then pooped in the kitchen. I think it is one of my cats doing this. I haven’t caught him in the act. I’m not sure how to handle this. Please help!

Eek… yeah that sounds about right! Cat\\\’s are super sensitive to change in their routine - even if it were just your gf moving in you may have seen some stressed behavior like this - heck, some cats react crazily to a new couch! The fact that it\\\’s THREE new cats is a HUGE change for them.
Did you take time to introduce them slowly & properly, using a safe room & doing scent swapping and all of that? Going at a slow pace like that generally helps, although cats are creatures of habit and can still be seriously disrupted by such a HUGE change like that. If you didn\\\’t take the time to slowly introduce them, I would absolutely separate them & start over from scratch. I\\\’d be hard pressed to believe the inappropriate elimination is anything other than a stressed out reaction to this invasion of your cats\\\’ territory.
Catching the cat in the act & scolding it probably won\\\’t really be effective, as the cat KNOWS what it\\\’s doing. He\\\’s either telling you he\\\’s ticked off about the new roomies, marking his territory against the newbies, or both. So scolding him isn\\\’t going to fix anything.
Also, make sure that you\\\’re cleaning any spots where the urine or feces may be with a good enzymatic cleaner like Nature\\\’s Miracle. If the cats can detect the urine there, they may continue to think that is an acceptable place to urinate long after the stress of new roommates is gone.
I\\\’m digging up some websites on introducing cats. Those should be helpful in the re-introduction process:

Ziggy is right. Slow is the key. It can take up to 30 days and sometimes longer with adults. We have 30 inside cats that live in harmony but we took it very slowly with each newcomer. I would have 7 boxes because there has been a problem. Make sure you clean the boxes with bleach and water and NOT ammonia or an enzyme cleaner. If you can, put a cat box in every room. In time, once you reach harmony…you won’t have to have the boxes in every room. But for now, that will help with the issues you’re having. As Ziggy said, start from scratch. Put the newcomers into a room for a week. Then let them out of the room and put the resident cats into that room for a week. Don’t try to introduce them for at least a month. After a week of the resident cats in the room, switch and put the newcomers in there. Again, after a week, switch and put the resident cats back in there. After 30 days, let ONE cat out of the room (which will be a resident cat) at a time. Not all 3. Get them interested in toys and treats. If all goes well, allow another cat out and so on. Make sure each cat has a food dish and a couple water bowls once you do bring them all together.

Perhaps you should have more gradually introduced the cats to each other. I\\\’m sure this is just a reaction to not being used to the new changes with 3 additional cats in the house now. It\\\’s all about adjusting. And make sure they have enough boxes and litter with all those cats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And keep up with vet appointments!
