Things are getting insane! Help!
My cats are hunting so much! It’s getting out of control! They used to catch prey only about 3 times a month. Now, they are seriously catching a mouse or bird EVERY DAY. We find feathers scattered every where, and they occasional bird foot. Two days ago, WE FOUND A HALF DEAD RAT IN A GROCERY BAG! Its back legs were paralyzed and it was dragging itself around and it’s face was so cute! But my mom had to kill it! A couple mintues before I am typing this, I had to chase my cats down and get a bird from him. As far as I know nothing dirastic has changed in their lives. Why are my cats doing this? What can I do?? Please help! Our house is full of feathers and small animals are dying rapidly and painfully!

You can not stop an outdoor cat from hunting. That is what they do.
If you want your cat to stop hunting you would have to block them access to prey by keeping them inside.
Cats are carnivours. They will kill to fullfill thier desire to stalk prey and get meat. It is what it is. You can not change it.

Was there something happened in your house. Has something happened to the cat ?
It is their nature to catch prey as they are born predators. But as you say thats really critical condition.
Maybe you should keep your cat inside . So that it may not go out to do this

Yeah! If you don’t want fleas, keep them in your garage. Or, give them a bath with soap and then let them live in your house!
