You only posted this concern on 7/14 - 2 weeks really might not be enough time. Have you, since then, kept them totally separated and done just scent & room swapping? Sometimes it can take that long just to do that, without ever even giving them face to face time. Slow it down. Keep them apart & only allow them short supervised visits. During those visits, introduce lots of treats and/or a new toy. Get them to associate each other with that positive experience. Give both of them loads of attention during this time, too. After a short period of time, put them back in their separate rooms. Repeat tomorrow. And the next day… and the next… slowly allowing each meeting to get longer and longer.

Remember, though, that even once they get along and hopefully become pals, they can still fight. Mine have been together now for almost a year, and 99% of the time are BFFs. Every so often, though, someone does something to anger the other, and play gets a little rough. At that time I just step in with a loud clap & a \\\”NO!\\\”, they separate, and they\\\’re cool again.

I agree. Make sure that the cats associate their meeting times with fun.

You should keep the new cat in a room like a bathroom or den for another two weeks. The new cat should stay in its room for almost the whole day, while the other cat smells its scent. After you keep the new cat in the room for another week, bring it out on a cat harness to meet the other cat. If they start hissing and growling, separate them from each other. It would be good to associate treats with the \\\”meeting times\\\”, as then the cats know that they get treats when they are around each other. They would then probably start to like their sessions where they meet each other. If all of this doesn\\\’t work, they may not just like each other. Make sure that your cats are spayed/neuteured (because that\\\’s the case a lot of the time).

Hope this helps,
