To me it sounds like she does not enjoy what you are calling play. For instance, petting her in a place she does not want to be petted (some cats hate to be petted on the chest/stomach) or in a way she does not like (back to front/against the grain?). Or pulling her tail or a limb. Or trying to confine her by dressing her up. Or just plain playing too rough. Or combing/brushing too hard. Or handling her near where she has a scratch. Or at the wrong time of day - such as after eating when she is most likely to want to use the litter box or rest up after the meal. (Mine are most active and playful before meals.)

well i would say she does not enjoy your attension right now. here is my advice, give her treats before and after you play with her. make sure SHE sees it as just as much of a good experience as you do. try playing with a toy that looks like a mouse with a long tail and run it along your floor so she thinks she wants you to hunt for her and she will see it as a fun thing. if that doesn\\\’t work then try giving her quiet bonding time with you. you need to be sure that she likes it and then work your way up to playing with her with more fun stuff involved. also you can make a cat fort out of old cardboard boxes. I KNOW cats love that stuff!! hope my advise was useful!
