Cat\\\’s are very interesting concerning nightmares. Unlike humans who live through the event while they sleep unknowing themselves to be dreaming. Cat\\\’s on the otherhand are the only living creatures, accept from black bears and wolves, who understand their dreaming or nightmare state. They can do as they will within this dreamlike world. This is another good reason as to why cat\\\’s are a superior creature

i have had expierence with my cats ears and whiskers twiching while they were asleep. maybe this is another way of cats signaling that they\\\’re dreaming. some people sleep talk so i guess this is simaler. it might not even be a nightmare for all we know she/he could be remembering kittenhood.

According to researchers at the Chico State University School of Veterinary Medicine, the physical structure of human brains and that of cats are very similar. They have the same lobes in the cerebral Cortex as humans do. Human and cat brains also function in the same way, conveying data via many identical neurotransmitters, and the part of the brain for emotions is the same in both cats and humans. Therefore, the subconscious patterns and thoughts which expresses themselves solely through dreamlike states and nightmares in humans would do so very similarly in the brains of cats.
