cats & dogs

Well,yes if it is a kind of dog that is use to cats,say for example u could ask a pet store,or you could even adopt one if u know what type it is,but i would check for rabies or and vaccination problems or if the dog got vaccinated so just in case the dog bit the cat that the cat doesn’t get rabies.=}I’m new=]hi!oh and b y the ways love cats!!!!!!!!

Yes they can live together . But it depends on them if they want to live together or not. Some dogs and cats are very good friends .

We have 3 German Shepherds and a Pit Bull with 20 feral cats and 10 strays. The dogs and cats curl up together. The ferals bonded with the dogs before they did with us. Our dogs have grown up with cats. I’ve known situations, though, where a dog / cat relationship did not go well because both were introduced as the animals were older.

I thinks its great! There should be more dogs loving cats in the world!

I think it really depends on the individual animals. Our cat loves our two dogs, and they are rather large mixed breeds. He even “head butts’ our lab mix which is pretty cute. Fortunately, they are very gentle dogs and wouldn’t hurt Earl (the cat.) All three sleep together quite often. If the animals are raised together, (these dogs have always been around cats), they seem to do okay together.

It definately depends on that particular cat or dog. One of my cats is really good friends with our dog, the other one just finds it annoying, and our last cat still hisses if it gets to close.
My dog is friendly and would never actualy hurt a cat, but some dogs are more aggresive.

Its better if you have a cat and get the dog as a puppy, because the dog is smaller, the dog grows up with cats, and gets used to them from the start. You never know what can happen between cats and dogs. People always think of dogs chasing cats, but not all dogs are like that, many are different.

Yes I think it’s great . I have a chihuahua and a sheltie with 17 cats and they get along great.

i have a cat and a dog and they never fight ever so if the dog or cat knows better than sure.
