How soon after having kittens can a cat get pregnant?
My cat Alley had kittens about 6-7 weeks ago and she goes outside everyday and our neighbor cat is always around. He is a male and I am sure he is the last litters father, anyhow she was originally an outside cat so she still likes to go out every once in awhile. We are going to get her spayed but wanted to wait until the kittens are weined and I’m afraid that if we wait she could have more kittens. She is a beautiful calico and her kittens are beautiful but we can’t take care of anymore kittens. Any advice would be helpful!

She can get pregnant again anytime - it’s not unusual cats come into heat a few days after giving birth. However, it’s best to have her spayed not before her kittens have switched to solid food, which should be after eight weeks or so.
Until then, keep the mother cat indoors, and away from any noncastrated tom cat. That’s the best way to prevent another litter, apart from spaying.

the best thing you could do is to keep your cat indoors till the kittens are weained. than later you could spray her.

better to keep the mom cat indoors as said by kittykatlover and khushi. cats can get pregenant anytime and can go in heat. get her sprayed when the kittens are 7-8 weeks old.

You should keep Alley indoors. She might be pregnant already, so you shouldn’t take any chances. She could go into heat just a couple days after giving birth.
