keep checking out the “breeds” category on the left and scroll down to the articles. Various breed types will be covered until there is a whole index of breeds. My cat and others I know are small, but that was just their body type in their family - not really pertaining to their breed. If a kitten is shorthaired and really small still around 6 months, it will probably remain a small cat. That’s at least the trend I’ve noticed among mine and my friend’s cats.

teacup cats are really tiny, but ragdolls act like kittens. when you pick them up, they like, dont move.

There are miniature/teacup cats out there, which are essentially the result of breeding generations of smaller cats with other smaller than average cats.
The smallest breed of domestic cat is a Singapura. These cats range from 5-8 pounds (depending on whether they are male or female). Intelligent, affectionate, playful and rare, these kittens will cost you a pretty penny, if you can find a breeder.

I don’t know of any “small” cats really. But all the cats that I have had have been pretty small. And I have seen some really big cats out there too.

“Small” cats are hard to find, but my tabby is small. I don’t think there is a certian breed of small cats. It just, depends.

mostly cat r the same sizes, they vary slightly. i like tabbies, calico’s, and if you get from a shelter you r helping a cat who needed a home. from a shelter, youll probaly get a mix.

In general domestic shorthairs and alot of breeds are generally anywhere from 7-12 pounds however there are some large breeds that get up to 20-40 pounds. Obviously if you want a small cat i would avoid these breeds such as savannahs or maine coons. Just do your research. I always say go to a shelter but if your insistent on a pure bred i can’t stress more do your research. Some breeds are prone to certain diseases, conditions, cancers etc. that can lead to lots of vet bills and not to mention an early death for your pet. Persians for example are prone to respiratory problems due to the shape of their face and sinuses. Domestic shorthairs usually what you find at a shelter come in a huge variety of size, color and temperment and if you choose one a little older you will have a better idea of their full grown size and temperment. Hint: big paws usually means they will be a larger cat. My boy had huge paws as a kitten and now he weighs more than 13 pounds…and he ain’t fat lol.

but i think you shouldnt worry about a specific breed. i would check your local shelter, there are thousands of little kittycats that want homes. ill bet they even have some small breeds there. i highly incourage you to at least look at the shelter.

Here is a short legged cat: the munchkin cat. It is a quiet cat but it is really friendly.Try asking your friends or go to justanswer.com to ask for a good cat. or ask your parents and, like answer 8 said, look in an animal shelter.

You should get a Turkish Angora! They are very skinny cats (If that\\\’s what you meant by small) They are sometimes hyper though! They are amazing cats, though!

Tabby, Siamese, and Egytian Maus, I believe are probably the size range your looking for. There are smaller such as teacups/minatures.
