How can i convince my parents to get me a kitten?
While i was baby (about 2) my family had a cat but it died before my 3 birthday. So i never really knew it properly. But my brother and sister are older then me so they were all about 15 and 14 when the cat died(they have moved out now) . But now they always talk about when the had an cat and how good it was. But i was starting to feel left out so i asked my mum and dad if i could have a kitten and they said no! And thats its a big responsability. they also said no beacuse the house is normally empty on weekdays (apart from the holidays). My parents dont think i am ready for a pet (i am 14) but i know i am. Do you think there is anyway i can convince my parents?

Uh, I don’t know what the heck was going on when that other guy wrote that answer. But my mom got me a cat because we knew we could take on another cat. We used to have two cats, but they were both really old and died. So I don’t know if you would beg or not, but I had a ton of excuses for getting a cat. First, I begged that i was responsible enough. Second, I said I would take care of it. Third, I said that we could get a cat that wasn’t dependent. That would be good in your case, since your not at home alot on school days. I get home at like 3:00 and Luna does fine (she sleeps most of the day). I would get a cat from the local humane society because they house train them and get some of them ‘fixed.’ The only problem from getting a cat from them is that they have alot of rules, like you have to have them fixed and that they can’t be outdoor cats! So, tell me if there’s more you need to know!

The only way I convinced my parents to let us have ANY animals was to show them how responsible I was. I would get good grades, help to lots of chores and clean, and most of all, respect them.

Does Your Freind have a Cat? If He Does ASk Him IF you Can Have Him For a Week Or 2. You Will Take Care Of His Cats For A week or 2 and then your parents will see you can have a kitten!

I had 1 cat named Gemini and I went 2 petsmart 2 get her food, they were having a adoption fundraiser so i looked at a few cats i saw one named Mallory she was a declawed cat (gemini was adopted by me when she was 6 months old her old owner had her declawed) But see im in College and i live with my mother so i had 2 beg and my mom said “if you want her you can have her” but then she said “its a big responsiblity 2 own 2 cats, and since you come home and they just live in my house and you clean the kittylitter its fine” and then the BIG BUT she said “BUT if you dont clean the kittylitter and it stinks im getting rid of both cats.” so what im trying 2 say is that some parents may give in but will threaten you so you think more and so you dont want an animal. I kno you must be responsible but think about it more and Baily was right take care of your friends cat show your parents your responsible but also get the feeling of taking care of a pet its hard work so i hope your up 2 it and good luck!

I know someone who has NEW KITTENS. She has to get rid of them in like 48 HOURS!

PUT DOWN or have to go to an animal shelter!!!!!!!!!! Not very many animal shelters keep
their animals for their whole life!!!!!!! (except i do know about one called Pets Without

im pretty sure they are free to but they have not been spayed or neutered tho, but the ones @ pets without parents have and they are only 100$ and they have been given all of thier shots too so thats a freeking great price.
