Cats understand some things you are saying but they have trouble understanding everything, after all we speak English while cats speak body language.

cats can be trained to understand some words, but its not like you can have a conversation with them. like my cat understands her name, what i sound like when i’m mad, sad, and other emotions. she especially likes it when i call “MIST, TIME FOR DINNER!!!” she learns to eventually learns to translate that dinner means those rabbit shaped droppings that taste like meat.
