I love hearing what people name their pets! And why! I have a white Persian named “Bella” Sweetest angel in the world cat! And a Himalayan named “Boo kitty” (meeeaannn kitty! Scary mean, like watch your back, thats why his name is “Boo!”

i have unknown breeds but they are so beautiful. one is orange his name is orangelo.. then akamaru a boy is black with whitish grey tiger stripes… and there is the beast and she is a calico. all gogeous and loveable.

My cat is pictured here in my avatar. He is a gray and white tabby. His name is Earl Gray…yes like the tea, but spelled with an “A” to make him unique. We also have three ferals that we care for…Jean Luc, Missy, and Bryan.

We have many and love each and every one of them. (And no we are not hoarders). We work closely with several rescue agencies for ferals and several animal shelters. Our cats are all inside cats. We have DSH and DLH, Siamese, Persian: Yellow Tigers, Gray Tigers, Tabby, Torties, Tuxedo, Black, White, Black and White, Gray and Gray and White. Very colorful when they come for their treats. Some are fosters waiting to be adopted. The ferals will stay with us.
After 2 years of trapping ferals at a local trash transfer station and getting 3 litters we finally trapped Dad but Mom then bred with a neighborhood stray and produced the last litter. We trapped Mom the same week we got her last 3 kittens. Sadly Dewey was killed by a hawk before we were able to trap them. But we got Diva, Dakota and Dylan. It was just in time, too, as poison was put out to kill the rats because the station was being shut down.

I used to have a grey American Shorthair named Shadow. I don’t know where he is from; I heard him at the church where I live, on Eastover.He was half blind and was missing an eye. He also had this very shy, cheerful, and gentle personality.

Well i have a calico named cali….i know very original lol. I also have a grey tabby boy named oliver(from the movie “Oliver and Company”) We had a cat named pumba (miss her bunches) and all the kittens were given names from “The Lion King.” Pumba was the chubby kitten so she was named after the warthog lol. When i was a kid we had a persian named Winston. They named him after Winston Churchill because he always looked mad at the world. I love my dad’s cats names. They started with a one eyed,grey and white cat which they named Popeye. Then they got Olive Oyl or just Olive for short. She’s a tortie calico who decided to live under their porch,now she resides in the house. Recently they just took in another kitten,a black and white stray decided to call their garage home so they brought him in and named him Sweet Pea.

I have Grey cat named baby boy because all he did when I brought him home from the shelter was whine he is 3. And then I have a orange cat and his name is Meeps, because he was very abused and neglected so he had to have dental work done and several tests to see what his head was tilted and his back is out of line. So when we got him home he couldnt whine or meow all he sounded like was a little mouse squeek so my 3 year old son asked why he only meeps instead of meows. I loved that so we named him meeps and he is 8.

I have a peach colored Maine Coon named Marquis. He is like the owner of the household! When i just wanted to sit down he sprang on the sofa and hissed at me and then stole my sausage! I will get revenge! Like i don’t know take his little toy away for a day or so.

I have a tortoiseshell named Magpie. That’s the name she had in the shelter. It really fits her, and she has a ton of nicknames: Maggie, Mags, Maggles, Pie Pie, Miss Pie, Miss Maggie… Everything I’ve read about Torties fits her to a T. She is completely different from all the cats I’ve had in the past. She is a strictly indoor cat, as in she would rather sit in the screen and sniff the outdoors than be in it. She has absolutely no interest in people food, which is great! She has a very distinctive cry, kind of raspy, very loud. At night she walks around the house and cries for us, then she leaves her toys in the hallway or next to the bed. Maggie looks just like the Tortie my boyfriend used to have, but she passed away, so it’s nice to remember Puddy having Maggie around. And after having Maggie for 3 years, I can’t imagine getting anything other than a Tortie! (My avatar is Maggie, by the way.)
I’ve had lots of different cats in my life, the matriarch, Kitty, or Mama Kitty (her name came from my brothers and I inability to agree on a name). Then she had Prince (who was supposed to be a Princess, whoops!), then Spot (who was pretty dopey). Then I adopted a stray named Pete (after Peter Pan, respectively), he lived to be 19! They were all orange and white tabbys. Then I adopted another stray that is a black and white longhair, his name is Hernandez or “Hermie” and he lives with my parents. He is the biggest and strongest cat I’ve ever seen! The vet even commented on how muscular he is, but of course, he has the weakest girly meow ever!
