There is really no way to know if a new cat and your cat are going to bond, reguardless of the breed.

You never know what breeds will bond. But It depends if it is female or male. I would get another felmale if its a girl, and another make if its a male. Just make sure the males get used to eachother for a while. Your first cat may claim the house as its territory and when another male or female comes he or she may feel invaded and start to fight, so thats why its best to get 2 females.

I think by experiance that a tabby warms up fastest to a tortiseshell and i also think that it needs to be the oppisite sex but spade or neutered. And i found that it is better to introduce a baby cat to an older cat and just let them do there thing. They will probably be hissing and growling at first. But it wont take them long to start to warm up.

It makes no difference what breed it is. If you want another cat try and get one from a shelter then you will be giving a cat a second chance of life.
