About Me: I have two indoor cats, waylon and willie and they are my kids, we also have a cat that lives in our garage(we let her out during the day, she stays in the yard!) that we rescued about two months ago, her poor collar had grown into her skin, but we nursed her back to health and now she is happy......My husband and I were unable to have children so these are our kids and we love them dearly. Waylon is seven, and willie is four, I am not sure how old Dolly is(outside catty) but if I had to guess I would say she is close to one. All three have their own distinctive personality and keep us amused and full of love.....

Personal Interests: I love my cats obviously, but also enjoy working outside with my flowers and redoing the house we just bought. I love to read and go to church to thank God for all His many blessings....

Cats:
  • Waylon - Siamese
  • Willie - Unknown mix
  • Dolly - Tabby

Cat Health

thanks for all the suggestions to take him to the vet(I had already done that) I have since taken him to another and had allergy tests done on him, he does not have asthma thank goodness, he does have allergies but it seemed to the vet that he has very sensitive gag reflexes, he actually had one of his attacks at the vet's office. I have just had to start being more careful about what he is around, no cut flowers, I have to put my body spray (can't use perfume anymore because it is too strong for him) in the bathroom with the door shut and then let the exhaust fan run to get the fumes out, same with hair spray and pretty much any aersol sprays. we have also recently moved and that along with everything else has really helped a lot. He has gone from four or five attacks per day to maybe two a week.

Cat Behavior

also keep in mind that something may be wrong and she is just letting you know that there is a problem, have you noticed that she may meow more or differently when she is going to the potty? also is the litterbox too tall for her to climb into, that could be a problem too. Has any other cat used the potty where she is going on the floor, cats can smell that kind of thing even when we can't and she could be marking her territory.

Cat Care

I take my oldest(he sheds the worst) every three or four months and have him bathed and have his undercoat removed, it helps so much! He barely sheds at all for the next three months and it is very reasonable to have done, you could also buy a brush that removes the undercoat, you just have to be careful not to brush them raw, but also not to do to little, he hates baths when I give them to him but does really well when I have them done by someone else.....
