yes and ticks look like a spider with a large body and small head they burro in under the skin .you cant just pull it off and call it good if you pull it off you risk snapping the head off witch will stay alive and keep burroing into the skin causing sikness and even death lime disease .if you enconter a tick dont just pull it off a drop of oil will make it back out so then you can remove the tick.also not recomended light a match blow out take the hot head of the match touch it to the tick and it will back out. if your cats go outside alot i suggest flea and tick repellant .
