About Me: I work with the computers that help keep your phones working. Well, maybe not yours but some in the town I live in. I have wanted a cat in my life since I was six years old. My brother brought me home my first cat. He was a black and white. Mom aways says he was a mean cat. I told mom if you were a boy cat and ended up in girl doll clothes you would of been mean too.

Midnight. Smokey is hard to get a pic of.
Personal Interests: I really have always been intrested in cats. I sew, and am into quilting. I use to water ski before I had a car accident, now I mainly hike. My fave vacation spot is the Smokey Mountains.

I agree with Catsofmany. it is an abscess. It needs to drain. Depending on what has caused the abscess will depend on if just being able to drain will help. You will need to get it opened up. Then 3 percent hydrogen peroxide. Do not give you cat any asprin. Keep in mind this may not work. You may still have to take your cat to the vet. -- A little of my experince. Smokey is a tamed feral. Before he was tamed he managed to get himself shot with a pellet gun. It healed, but later abscessed, he had to go to the vet to get the pellet out. Just draining wouldn\\\'t work.

Most of the time when they get stuck you need to clip the claws. Now as far as scratching post go, I never had much luck with them until I got a cat tree with rope around the poles. They just love it. Most of the time they like something that doesn\\\'t move around much. Also I really like sticky paws to convince them to use something besides my funiture.

As long as your cat is in a safe location and is not allowed to live outside, it is OK to take your inside kitty outside. One rule I go by if it is to cold or hot for me to stay outside, it is to hot or cold for my kitty. Also I never let my kitties out by themselves.

Most litters are at least 4. Cats can have up to 10 and as few as one, but please don't let your cats have kittens. We have way to many unwanted kittens now.
