Sounds like a lot is going on at your house! A new baby (congratulations!) his kitties, your kitties!! I know this cat problem can be almost overwhelming and I commend you on seeking a solution instead getting rid of the cats you love. I have 4 rescues and I hope I can be of some help! As for the cats now urinating everywhere, they could be upset about the change in the household. You are giving the baby more attention and they know it! They will mark places they can smell the baby (from clothes, toys, etc.) because, after all, it is their house! I would give them several litterboxes (there are 3 here) to choose from. Use whichever litter you have found works best. Scoop daily and change out weekly. They like litterboxes that are clean and non-smelly! Are the cats all spayed and neutered? If not, do so! Male cats will spray constantly to show they are the alpha\\\'s!! (Mine are all neutered-no spraying, no going outside the box.) If you are gone for awhile, put them in one room if possible. At least they won\\\'t be roaming the house! These are a few suggestions that I hope help you out. Let us know how you are doing! Get some sleep!! :)
Take her to the vet and have her checked out. If she gets a clean bill of health, then have her spayed. This will stop the craziness of her going into heat and having raging hormones and prevent unwanted babies. She will settle down and should stop urinating on the walls. If this has turned into a bad habit, a little discipline in this area should have her going in the correct place: her litterbox!
If you think she\\\'s pregnant, take her to the vet so she can get checked out. If she\\\'s not, get her spayed asap. It will be healthier for her and she will be happier!
Cats love to play with string, but it can be very dangerous for them to do so. They swallow it which is bad for their intestines. Usually resulting in surgery to get the string out. Supervise their play with string or simply put it away and give them kitty toys with feathers, bells, etc.
