I was reading a book and it said 6 months but they should be on their own by then so i would say i think it was like 8 weeks

it depends on where you live like if you live in the city i wouldn't trust putting a cat outside because kids might take it home or it couldget run over, also you should make sure your cat is okwith being outside because otherwise yu have a permanent cat door that they scratch themselves trying to get inside...
