A good thing to do is to leave a T.V on, he will think someone is home and it will save the neighbors from complaining for sure... , As far as I can tell owning cats for over 30 years growing up with them also, some cats want company in their early years.!!

Most cats see color but not rich colors, they mostly see better than humans at night like almost inferred light.

You have to stop listening to old tales about Black cats, Because I have had mine for 21years and haven't even had a problem at all , The only major thing that has recently happened is that my Blacky (black cat ) had passed on on may 5th so just pet and love him or her and enjoy the years that your blessed to have your pet. good cheer up question: Sorry mourning a loss of a dear friend for 21years. His name was Blacky, (yes a black cat ) also I had growing up a black cat named (Frisky). and when I was married at the time I had a grey tiger cat named (sammy) .just a few names for you!!! take care and enjoy them while there young.
