About Me: Several decades ago, something happened to me: I asked the Lord to be my personal savior, and to fill me with the Holy Spirit. Asking Jesus Christ to be my personal savior is the best personal and financial decision I have ever made. In addition to that, I am obsessively compulsively worried about ferral cats.
Personal Interests: Serving the Lord and decorating stationery envelopes. As opposed to decorating envelopes that are moving.

I don't know, but I think it's great that you love cats and would like to rescue one. Have you ever thought of this? It seems like when I'm at the vet there are signs stateing "Good home needed for cat". Please make sure you can afford to spay or nueter any cat you get.
1) anyone that I have ever heard of being really successful getting KitTyKats to do tricks used a clicker. A clicker makes a sound somewhat like clicking. Seriously, when I've watched "It's me or the Dog" the lovely English woman has explained what to do/how to do it. You just have to catch a show when she's discussing clickers. 2) My husband used to do this with a cat and it was really cute. He made it appear the cat was doing a trick, but in reality he just knew the cat so well that right before the cat would do something, he would yell out a command. Example: ROLL OVER first, my husband would slowly take off his belt if he saw the cat approaching him; then, right before the cat would roll over he would "crack the whip" softly and way above the cat, and say in a commanding tone "ROLL OVER".

I hope your kitty cat has been seen by a vet, or some of the over-the-counter suggestions posted here worked. You were correct in assuming something was wrong. The reason I am writing you is to thank you for adopting this 'stray'--what a loving home this cat has!
