Finally found her hiding place - behind the refrigerator. .
Cat Behavior
At 3 AM this morning, after about 36 hours in hiding, she made a brief appearance, had some food, and used the kitty litter. We still don't know where her hiding place is, but at least she's OK. I have a suspicion that my aggressive searching might have seemed threatening to her, so for the moment we are just going to let her hide until she wants to come out. Thanks for all the good advice and well wishes. Ed
Cat Behavior
Thanks to all of you for the advice. You can be sure I will follow it, but believe it or not I am still working on step one. We have searched the house several times but have not seen hide nor hair of her. We have looked under/behind everything that has an underneath or a behind, and inside everything we can think of that she might be able to crawl inside of. Her food and kittly litter still have not been touched. No doors or windows were open, so I am sure she has not gotten out. Thanks again, Ed
