About Me: This is all about my cats. I have twin tabbies named Timmy and Cuddles. Timmy has a crooked tail, and Cuddles has an extra digit on each front paw, that each have split nails. They are very calm cats, whom I love very much. I was given them by a friend who has a large cat family when I moved into the house I live in now. I also have a tuxedo cat named Larry, who was found by my mom. He was a stray who was hiding in some bushes, who they found when it was raining really badly. He was hungry, and his back leg was not in good shape. I rehabilitated him, and he is now part of my family. He can be very possessive and aggressive, but he knows that I\\\\\\\'m the boss. After much work, all three cats get along pretty well now. My girlfriend has a chihuahua mix, and it can get very hectic sometimes. I do my best to assert myself as pack leader with all the animals, because I believe they should all be submissive to me, because what I say goes. I love all the animals we have, but I\\\\\\\'m doing my best to get them all to get along.

Cats:
  • Timmy - Tabby
  • Cuddles - Tabby
  • Larry - American Shorthair

Catnip is perfectly safe for animals. Depending on the cat, it has many different reactions. The plant (Nepeta), affects the pheromone receptors in their brains. At pet stores, you can buy the actual plant to grow yourself, ground catnip to put in toys and anywhere you want the cats to like, and you can also buy catnip oil to spray on areas that they may like, and scratching posts. I have three cats, and they each have their own reactions. Larry gets very excited and starts rolling around in it, Cuddles starts running around, and Timmy just lays near it. You don\\\'t have to worry about the amount you give them, as it\\\'s a mint type of plant.

Cat Health

I have a similar cat named Cuddles. I was very worried about the sounds he was making when he was breathing, and the fact that he would snore while he was sleeping. I took him to the vet, and they said the same thing. Sometimes I still worry about him, because I wouldn\\\'t know if he actually had a breathing problem. However, he is very active and healthy, and I haven\\\'t had to take him back to the vet. If you want to be very sure, I would probably get a second opinion, but in my experience, I think your kitty should be fine. I would start worrying though if she starts getting lethargic, or stops eating like she normally does. I hope this helps! Good luck!

Cat Health

Matted fur usually comes from a cat that doesn\\\'t clean themselves regularly. For example, I have a cat that is a little overweight, so there are certain places which he can\\\'t reach. I bathe him approximately once per month to remove the extra fur. He is a shorthair tabby, so I don\\\'t have to groom him very regularly. I\\\'m not sure the conditions of your cat, but I would start brushing her on a regular basis, and consult a vet if the problem doesn\\\'t go away. There are also special products available at pet stores that are formulated for such purposes. I hope this helps your cat\\\'s dilemma!
