Well, depending on what breed of cat you have, the amount of hair that it sheds may vary. My cat is a Maine Coon, and it is my job to brush him often, to get off excess hairs. Purchase a cat brush and brush him often to limit shedding. The brushes work! (I have 8 fish, 2 dogs, a cat, and 2 frogs, and out of the animals I can brush, it limits shedding!)
