Well, my tuxedo is named Sylvester, we call him Silly, but that's not a very original idea!

Cat Care

If your kitty is an outdoor cat, DO NOT TRIM HIS NAILS! They are his only defense against anyone or thing he may come up against. For an indoor cat, you can trim them whenever they get sharp. You can sort of tell where the "dead" part of the nail ends and the nerve endings begin. You know you have gone too far if your cat cries and a drop or two of blood appears. Try to avoid this though! :)

Cat Behavior

This is a normal behavior in male cats. He smells you on the dirty laundry, and is marking his "property". To avoid this problem, get your kitty neutered. This eliminates the problem of spraying. I can testify to the effectiveness of this as I have two boys of my own. You may also want to close the laundry room door! :) As a side note: Some people think that spaying/neutering is very expensive, but your local humane society or SPCA will do this for only $30-50, maybe less depending on the area.

Cat Feeding

You should have dry kitten food (softened with water so it is easier to eat) available to your kitten at all times. At that age, he is only going to eat as much as he needs. As your kitty gets older though, you will want to ask your vet how much food he should eat each day.
