Cat Health

I had a hamster when I got my kitten. I'd had hamsters for years. The cat became obsessed with the hamster and continuously tried to get the cage open. It became such a pain that I had to cover the cage with heavy items. Eventually, I realized I was barely playing with the hamster anymore because it was such a hassle to get him out and could only do it when kitty was shut out of the room. End result: the hamster went to a friend of mine who'd wanted him for a long time. Some cats will play nicely with small animals, other won't. I'm not sure that one can be a good parent to the hamster while having a cat in the house and the hamster would be happier elsewhere with people it can interact with more (if it likes interaction).

Hi! I'm glad you find the other cat food info on cats.com so helpful. You can order Petco and Petsmart delivery if its too far of a drive for you. Also, many of the websites that Kat recommends allow you to learn about a brand of food and then you can search by zipcode for closest store location to you. Sometimes they are at small stores as well that might be closer to you! As far as why the kitty isn't drinking water, I'm not sure. It might not hurt to try filtered water, sometimes local water has chemicals in it that give off certain tastes or smells that people or animals might not like.
