this is what I do: .Pick up the cat .Walk over to it's bowl .Tell it "doesn't that look good"? .Put the cat down and see if it eats That is what I do for my cat because she sometimes will meow for the food and when it is set down then she will walk away.I just do the steps that I wrote but if it doesn't work the first time then keep doing it.
